Dr Michael Tawadrous is a specialist vascular and endovascular surgeon. He is a practitioner at North Sydney Specialists. 

Dr Tawadrous graduated Medicine in 2004 from the University of Otago, New Zealand as the first Honours graduate with a combined bachelor’s and doctorate degrees. He completed part of his surgical training at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, Adelaide, and then completed his Advanced vascular surgical training at Liverpool and Concord Repatriation Hospitals in Sydney. His fellowship was completed at St George public and private hospitals, Sydney. His extensive research described the changes in the micro circulation of organs in transplant rejection. He has multiple publications as a first author in a number of reputable journals. He was admitted to the Royal Australian College of Surgeons as a Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon in 2013.

Dr Tawadrous has many years of clinical experience and was the founding vascular surgeon servicing a large area around Coffs Harbour before relocating to North Sydney. He continues to provide a travelling service to Coffs Harbour.

His main areas of interest include peripheral vascular disease, carotid disease and stroke, aortic and peripheral aneurysms, renal and mesenteric occlusive vascular disease and vascular trauma. He manages patients with varicose veins using minimally invasive and open procedures.

Dr Tawadrous is a Senior Conjoint Lecturer with the University of NSW Clinical School of Medicine. He actively participates in teaching and education of medical students, general practitioners, as well as doctors and nurses at the hospital. He attends national and international conferences regularly.
