Endocrinologist & Diabetes Specialist

Dr Devina Joshi is an Australian trained endocrine physician and diabetes specialist. She is one of the founding partners of North Sydney Specialists.

Dr Devina Joshi graduated from Medicine with First Class Honours in 2002 from the University of NSW. She completed part of her physician training at Westmead Hospital, Sydney, and then completed her Advanced Endocrinology training at St Vincent’s Hospital and Nepean hospital in Sydney as well as completing a research year at the prestigious VUMC Institute in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She was admitted to the Royal Australian College of Physicians as an Endocrinologist in 2010.

She has many years of clinical experience and was the solo practicing endocrinologist servicing a large area around Coffs Harbour before relocating to North Sydney. She continues to provide a travelling service to Coffs Harbour.Her areas of interest include Type 2 diabetes, Type 1 diabetes, insulin pump therapy, obesity, thyroid and parathyroid disease, pituitary and adrenal disorders, osteoporosis, menopause, men’s health and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). She is passionate about indigenous health and is involved in diabetes care in 7 separate Aboriginal Medical Services all around NSW.She offers a personalised, practical approach that is based on the best available scientific evidence and her years of experience. Patients and colleagues find her approachable, professional and an excellent communicator.

Dr Joshi is a Senior Conjoint Lecturer with the University of NSW Clinical School of Medicine. She actively participates in teaching and education of medical students, general practitioners, as well as doctors and nurses at the hospital. She attends national and international conferences regularly. She has published as a first author in a number of peer reviewed international journals including the British Medical Journal and Clinical Endocrinology.
